We have a great pleasure of inviting you to 9th Paul Walden Symposium on Organic chemistry (Walden 2017), which will be held in the beautiful city of Riga on June 15-16, 2017. Symposium will be hosted by the Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis and Riga Technical University. It will take place at the Riga Technical University  (Paula Valdena iela 3, Auditorium 101), which is situated in Ķīpsala in a 10 min driving distance from the historical Riga’s Old Town.
The Conference is devoted to Professor Erika Bizdena, who will receive a Paul Walden medal and is celebrating her 75th birthday this year. The programme and format of Walden 2017 is composed of plenary lectures by a distinguished international speakers (who were students in Professor Erika Bizdena group) and poster sessions for the students. For the third time two oral presentations are predicted for the best Latvian PhD students. The goal of this Conference is to bring together the scientists, scholars, and students from universities, research institutes, and industry from Baltic States. Very special invitation is to the students to represent their research and have a wonderful choice for speaking with all the plenary speakers. We aim for the improvement of students skills in the presentation of their research results.
